The actress said that in 2019, she suffered from depression. However, at that time, she did not pay attention to her mental health.
In 2021, she felt like worms were crawling on her body and had a tingling sensation along with an allergic reaction. She went to the hospital, took medicine and got vaccinated but the symptoms did not improve. She then went to a psychologist to start treatment to reduce mental stress.
In 2023, the actress suffered from pneumonia, pulmonary edema... and hearing loss due to stress.
"In 2024, I started having symptoms such as frequent vomiting, joint pain, neck pain; the allergy symptoms became worse. At that time, I thought it was just a normal side effect of taking allergy medicine," she added.
Trieu Lo Tu shared about being beaten: "When I was young, people said that I was just a useless flower vase. When I went to extracurricular activities, I was beaten in the teacher's dormitory. At that time, I thought it was right to be beaten because I was not good at studying. I did not dare to speak out because I believed that everything had to be caused by myself.
When I grew up, I was beaten again. At that time, I thought that failing the school entrance exam was my fault. I didn't dare to make a fuss, I just wanted to run away. I was used to solving all my problems by myself without seeking help from anyone else."
She affirmed that she had never mentioned this disease before, not wanting it to become something people pitied. But since "things have come to this point", she wanted people to understand better.
"Depression is an emotion, but agitated depression is an illness.
I sincerely hope everyone understands. In such a situation, it doesn't matter whether you are truly understood, you will continue to be stuck in a spiral of discussion without being able to free yourself.
Learn about psychological problems, focus on psychological treatment" - she said.
