On the morning of November 24, the 4th "Conquering the Dinosaur's Back - Milestone 1305" mountain climbing competition officially took place with the participation of nearly 500 athletes.
This is an activity within the framework of the Cultural - Tourism Week of Binh Lieu district in 2024, which officially opened from October 25 and will last until the end of the year.
Binh Lieu Culture - Tourism Week includes a series of 18 special activities.
What makes the event “unique” is the participation of local people in all activities such as experiencing the new rice celebration, culinary arts of Binh Lieu ethnic groups, performing space of folk culture of ethnic groups (Tay, Dao, San Chi) with cuisine, singing, dancing, music, rituals every Saturday night... These are all activities organized for the first time, taking place this November.
Mr. To Dinh Hieu, Director of the Communication - Culture Center of Binh Lieu district, shared: "From stories, rituals, folk songs in the lives of local ethnic groups, we, along with artisans and people, practice and shine on stages on weekends until the end of 2024. Performing songs and dances, practicing ethnic cultural rituals, people are very happy and proud".
Ms. Tran Thi Phau, a Soong Co singer from San Chi commune, Huc Dong, confided: "Singing Soong Co on stage is not only a source of pride but also helps me spread my ethnic culture to a large audience.
Each Soong Co song has a special meaning, from praising the homeland and country to singing to celebrate the New Year or singing to express love by the stream. Every time I perform, the district supports me with gas and food, but the most important thing for me is that people listen to me. The more people listen to me sing, the happier and prouder I am."
From now until the end of the year, Binh Lieu Culture - Tourism Week has many special activities to welcome visitors such as: Golden season festival, So flower festival, ethnic costume show, dong rieng cluster competition, introducing Binh Lieu's typical Ocop products, experiencing the process of making dong vermicelli, So flower festival grassroots bicycle race...
Ms. Doan Thuy Hien, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, 65 years old said: “I came to Binh Lieu on a 2-day-1-night tour. Due to my old age, I did not participate in some activities such as mountain climbing, but in return there were many other activities such as playing top spinning, shooting marbles, taking pictures with terraced fields that I was very excited about.
I think the art and culture that originate from daily labor life will last the longest. Binh Lieu has many ethnic colors, the people here have a strange pride.
The Culture - Tourism Week not only contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values but is also a highlight to promote four-season tourism in Quang Ninh.
With a series of diverse activities, Binh Lieu expects to attract 250,000 visitors in 2024, making the image of the borderland an unmissable destination.
