Vietnam National Drama Theatre has just introduced the production of the musical "Cafe banh mi" and the art program "Uncle Ho has a long love". The two artistic products were staged and performed by the Theater to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu - Director of Vietnam National Drama Theatre said that this was the first time Vietnam National Drama Theatre staged and performed a musical about President Ho Chi Minh.
Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu said: President Ho Chi Minh is a great leader who has left a strong impression on the history of the Vietnamese people and humanity. Although he has gone far, his simple image, ideology and moral example always live in the hearts of generations of Vietnamese people and international friends.
From the respect and gratitude for the People, Vietnam National Drama Theatre staged the art program "Uncle Ho, an enlarged love" including 2 short plays: "The story of Sister Tin's house" and "South in Uncle Ho's heart" by authors Le Trinh and Ly Nguyen An, staged by director and Meritorious Artist Mai Nguyen. In which, "The Story of Sister Tin's House" is a story about Uncle Ho's visit to a poor family in Hanoi on New Year's Eve of Nham Dan 1962. I always think about the people, always wish for the people to have a warm and happy spring.
The short film "South in Uncle Ho's Heart" recreates the story of Uncle Ho and the female hero Tran Thi Ly, along with the soldiers of the Southern people. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always had special feelings for the people of the South.
During the years of the resistance war against the US, when the country was divided into two regions, the nostalgia for the Southern people always paid off in Uncle Ho's heart. He once said: "A day when the Fatherland is not yet unified, the people of the South are still suffering, it is a day when I cannot eat well, cannot sleep well".
The story of Uncle Ho and the heroine Tran Thi Ly and the Southern compatriot soldiers is a touching story, forever like a beautiful song that goes with the years praising His endless love.
