The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) has just sent a document to the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - MOCST) requesting to handle the subject spreading fake information on Facebook.
At 8:47 a.m. on August 14, 2024, the Facebook page "Tran Nhat Anh" posted an article with the content: "On August 9, 2024, the eel congee dish of Nghe An province was included in the List of National Intangible Heritage. Congratulations to my hometown".
The article is accompanied by a photo of Decision No. 3737/QD-BVHTTDL of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Department of Cultural Heritage confirmed that this information is fake. The Department of Cyber Security and Crime Prevention (PCTP) used high technology to review, check, verify and found that: the Facebook page "Tran Nhat Anh" has the above posted content; the user is TTNA (born in 1988, Nghe An), currently living and working in Ho Chi Minh City.

On September 17, 2024, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention worked with Ms. TTNA and Mr. VTT (Ms. TTNA's husband). During the meeting, Ms. TTNA confirmed that she was the owner of the Facebook "Tran Nhat Anh".
At the same time, this person admitted to posting on his Facebook page and the Fanpage "Luon Xu Nghe" with the content and accompanying photo of the unverified Decision 3737 above.
Ms. TTNA said that the origin of the photo of Decision No. 3737 was that her husband accidentally read and downloaded it from social networks (but did not remember the original posting account). After that, Mr. VTT sent it to his wife to repost with the purpose of promoting the family's successful sale of congee eel products and had no other intention.
After being informed by the authorities that Decision No. 3737/QD-BVHTTDL was fake and the information posted above was false, Ms. TTNA and her husband realized their wrongdoing and voluntarily removed all posts on the Facebook account "Tran Nhat Anh" and the Fanpage "Luong Xu Nghe".

Considering that Ms. TTNA and her husband both had a sincere and cooperative attitude, admitted their violations due to limited legal awareness, posted unverified information and images, and this was the first violation, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention warned her about the above violations.
She and her husband realized the problem and learned from it, and pledged not to repeat the mistake.
Previously, when discovering information circulating online about congee eel being an intangible cultural heritage, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent document No. 3466/BVHTTDL-VP to the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Information and Communications requesting to handle distorted and untrue information.
In fact, on August 9, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decisions to register national intangible cultural heritages. Of which, there are 4 intangible cultural heritages of folk knowledge related to cuisine, including: Traditional handicraft of lotus tea marinating in Quang An, Quang An ward, Tay Ho district, Hanoi (No. 2316/QD-BVHTTDL), Nam Dinh pho (No. 2326/QD-BVHTTDL), Quang noodles of Quang Nam province (No. 2327/QD-BVHTTDL), Hanoi pho, Hanoi city (No. 2328/QD-BVHTTDL).
