On January 12, a clip was circulated on social media about 3 people beating a driver right in front of a house. The people used rocks, helmets and metal chairs to severely beat the driver. During the beating, the group cursed and one person asked "do you know who I am?"
Initial records show that the incident occurred in the early morning of January 12 at the beginning of Hung Dinh 17 Street, Hung Dinh Ward, Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province.
The person who was beaten was Mr. L.N.L (37 years old, a driver of a service vehicle). Mr. L.N.L said that at the time of the incident, he had just dropped off a passenger and was on his way home. While signaling to turn into the house, he saw two people on a motorbike (without helmets, appearing drunk) going on the left. Hearing a loud noise from the vehicle, Mr. L.N.L got out to see if the vehicle was okay, but the two people rushed over, pushed and beat Mr. L.
One man said that Mr. L was driving a car and blocking the motorbike. Meanwhile, the other man said "do you know who I am?" Then, the two men attacked Mr. L with rocks and an iron chair.
Without stopping, the subjects called another person to run over and use a helmet to repeatedly hit Mr. L's head. Only when a woman intervened did the subjects stop. At this time, Mr. L was beaten and lying in front of a house.
Mr. L suffered bleeding injuries to his hands, head injuries and a swollen face. After the incident, Mr. L had to go to the hospital for medical care. According to the victim, the subjects not only beat people but also vandalized the car, the damage could cost 10 million VND to repair.
Mr. L said that he had reported the incident to the police. It is known that Hung Dinh ward police have arrived at the scene to inspect, verify and handle the incident.
