The Human Act Prize 2024 is a meaningful event, aiming to find and honor efforts for the community, while promoting the spread of typical initiatives, connecting individuals and organizations with the same goals, contributing to building a humane society and a sustainable future.
Notably, this year's program attracted 128 applications. The projects are diverse in their fields of activity, ranging from equal education, health, community prosperity, ending poverty to clean energy, sustainable business and responsible consumption and production.
After the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 32 best projects to enter the final round and display at the Thai Hoc House in the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.
Among the finalists, many have been consistently implemented for many years, with results measured by convincing numbers, and have the potential to further expand in scale and impact in the near future.
Besides the participation of large projects from businesses with a vision of responsibility to the community, there are also small-scale projects from individuals but with creativity in ideas and implementation methods.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Human Act Prize Organizing Committee said: "Following the success of the Community Action Award in 2023, in 2024, we continue to receive many valuable projects. It can be said that the quality of this year's projects surprised the jury. These projects are not far apart and are all worthy of receiving the award".
Besides, Mr. Minh also said that although social workers do not demand to be honored, society needs awards to honor their contributions to the community.
Visiting the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam to visit and attend the Community Awards exhibition, Ms. Thanh Thuong (Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi) was very impressed with the community projects. Ms. Thuong said that these are all very meaningful and humane projects, especially the projects of the "disadvantaged", they are the ones who seem to have to receive support from others but they are the ones who go out to help and support others.
Also on November 22, the final round will take place, with project representatives presenting, interacting, and answering questions from the Jury. Based on this, the Jury will continue to select the winning projects in each category; and at the same time, decide on the best project to award the highest prize of the Human Act Prize 2024.
