Thai Nguyen - cracks appeared in the Trai Cau Iron mine waste dump area, which is at risk of causing unsafety, threatening the property and lives of people living below.

On October 14, according to a source from Lao Dong Newspaper, heavy rain that has lasted for many days has caused cracks and overflowing water on the surface of the Trai Cau Iron mine waste dump (Trai Cau commune, Thai Nguyen).

This phenomenon is at risk of causing landslides, affecting the safety of people and production facilities located below the landfill area.

Through inspection, the local authorities recorded cracks and water overflowing through the manhole at 2 locations at the 49th floor of the landfill, posing a potential safety risk.
