Danger in "Tuyet Tinh Coc"
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at abandoned quarries in Bien Hoa City, over the years, rain has caused landslides, many trees planted on the banks have broken down, and many sections of fences have been damaged, making the road and the adjacent deep abyss very dangerous.
Although warning signs are placed in many locations, the quarries in Bien Hoa City are considered by young people as “Tuyet Tinh Coc” for sightseeing and sightseeing. Because this place has emerald green lake water, steep cliffs and poetic space.
However, local people here believe that these quarries are extremely dangerous due to the deep water level. Some lakes are up to 100 meters deep and the water is very cold, even swimmers can get cramps... On May 24, 2024, a 7th grade student went swimming in the lake and drowned.
Although the local authorities have fenced off the area because it is dangerous, many young people still sneak into the quarry areas to take pictures and sightsee.
In addition to the danger, some quarries have become dumping grounds for people and illegal dumping of industrial waste....
These quarries have been closed for many years and are being managed by the Dong Nai Province Land Fund Development Center.
