On the afternoon of December 30, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province said that people in Hoa Trach and Kim Ngan communes voluntarily came to Roon Border Guard Station and Lang Ho Border Guard Station to hand over 4 homemade guns and 1 set of used electric shock tools.
Border guard units have received and made records according to regulations and praised the people's self-awareness. The handover shows an increasing awareness of the risk of unsafety from homemade weapons, as well as the awareness of law compliance and accompanying the border guard force in maintaining security and order in the area.
