At around 1:00 p.m. on September 24, Ms. N.T.C.T (born in 1987), residing in Ca Mau province, reported that her nephew had been tricked and sold to Cambodia for more than 4 days.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Command of the Ha Tien International Border Gate Border Guard Station reported to the Command of the Kien Giang Provincial Border Guard. With professional support from the Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Provincial Border Guard), the unit contacted and coordinated with the Cambodian authorities to search for the girl.
With the support of friendly forces, at 4:00 p.m. the same day, T.T.D (born in 1991) was found at an entertainment venue in Kam Pot province, Kingdom of Cambodia, which was owned by a foreigner. Immediately afterwards, D was returned to the Border Guard Station of Ha Tien International Border Gate.
The unit has notified the victim's family and coordinated with the Women's Union of Ha Tien City to provide material support and stabilize D's mental state. The Provincial Border Guard Command also directed professional officers to coordinate with competent authorities to investigate, verify, and handle the case according to the law.
