Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just reported on resolving voters' petitions before the People's Council meeting in October 2024.
One of the issues that voters are concerned about is the development of community tourism and eco-tourism, in order to diversify tourism types and attract tourists to Khanh Son district.
According to voters, currently in the communes of Ba Cum Nam, Son Hiep, Son Binh, Thanh Son (Khanh Son district), there are pine forest sub-areas under the management of the Southern Khanh Hoa Protective Forest Management Board.
Voters of Khanh Son district proposed that the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province direct the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to develop and complete the Project "Forest environment service leasing" to create conditions for people to rent forest environment for tourism and economic development.
Responding to voters, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee informed that at the end of 2020, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision approving the Sustainable Forest Management Plan for the period 2020 - 2029 of the Southern Khanh Hoa Protective Forest Management Board.
The areas and locations planned to lease forest environments for ecotourism and resorts on the entire area assigned to the Nam Khanh Hoa Protective Forest Management Board are 10 locations. Of which, 9 locations are in the area of Khanh Son district.
Specifically, in area 1 of Thanh Son commune 383ha; area 2 of Son Lam commune 471ha; area 3 of Son Binh and Son Hiep communes 266ha; area 4 of Son Trung commune 21ha; area 5 of Son Lam and Son Binh communes 575ha; area 6 of Son Hiep and Son Binh communes 396ha; area 7 of Son Hiep and Son Binh communes 384ha; area 8 of To Hap town and Ba Cum Bac commune 59.43ha and area 9 of Ba Cum Nam commune and Cam Phuoc Dong commune 536ha.
According to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the sustainable forest management plan for the period 2020-2029 of the Management Board of Southern Khanh Hoa Protective Forest has been approved as the basis for forest owners to develop a project for ecotourism, resort, and entertainment on the area planned for ecotourism and resort in the above areas, as a basis for leasing the forest environment according to regulations.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee will direct the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to request the Management Board of Nam Khanh Hoa Protective Forest to, based on current legal regulations, develop an ecotourism, resort, and entertainment project in accordance with the approved Sustainable Forest Management Plan for the period 2020-2029 as a basis for implementing ecotourism, resort, and entertainment activities.
