At about 9:10 a.m. on July 10, a fire broke out at a mobile phone store, located at 126 Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street, Ninh Kieu Ward, Can Tho City.
The fire started in a room on the ground floor, the initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit, and quickly spread.
As soon as the news was received, about 45 officers and soldiers of the police, military and security forces at the grassroots level were present in time with 3 specialized fire trucks.
After about an hour of effort, by 10am, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.
An employee at the store said that at the time of the fire, there were 4 people in the house and all had escaped safely. The store owner was not there.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the fire completely burned down the house, affecting most of the house number 124 specializing in selling household appliances and affecting a small part of house number 128, a barber shop.
The authorities are conducting statistics on property damage.
