Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan has just signed and issued an official dispatch on strengthening forest management, protection, forest fire prevention and fighting (PCCCR) and handling the situation of illegal leveling and construction of houses on forestry land.
Accordingly, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct the Forest Protection Department, the Wildlife Rescue Center, and specialized departments to strengthen inspection, detection, handling and closely coordinate with localities in forest management, protection and fire prevention and fighting.
The Hanoi Forest Protection Department organizes the implementation of applying high technology in forest protection management, early detection of forest fires and lost forests to have timely and effective solutions for forest protection and fire fighting such as: "Using the software of the Smart Forest Monitoring System using 4.0 technology, serving digital transformation in forestry".
The City Police directed professional departments, commune-level police to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, People's Committees of districts and towns with forests to investigate and strictly handle acts of: intentional forest burning, leveling, and illegal construction on forestry land according to regulations.
The People's Committees of communes with forests strictly manage forest areas and forestry land in the management area. Direct specialized departments and relevant authorities to strengthen state management of forests and forestry land, organize forest patrol and inspection forces to promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle acts of leveling, encroachment on forest land, and construction of works against regulations on forestry land.
