On October 22, the Phu Lam Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08), in coordination with the Le Minh Xuan Commune Police, Binh Chanh District, inspected the parking lot of Le Minh Xuan High School. At the school's parking lot, the authorities discovered many large-displacement motorcycles with cylinder capacity over 50cc driven by the school's students to and from school and parked there.
After classifying and determining that there were 70 large-displacement motorcycles in this parking lot, the authorities drew up a record and temporarily detained them to clarify the violation.
Also this morning, the Phu Lam Traffic Police Team led by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hoi - Team Leader worked with Anh Minh parking lot owned by Anh Minh Parking Lot Company Limited (Le Minh Xuan Commune, Binh Chanh District).
Here, the authorities discovered a total of 47 motorbikes with a cylinder capacity of over 50cc parked here by many students. The owner of the parking lot admitted that these motorbikes were driven by students of Le Minh Xuan High School to park at the parking lot to go to school.
Initially, the authorities will draw up a record of the incident with the owner of Anh Minh parking lot to temporarily detain these motorbikes. After that, they will clarify whether the driver is qualified to participate in traffic or not and handle administrative violations according to regulations if there are violations.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper, many students of Le Minh Xuan High School, after school, hurriedly called their families to inform them of the situation and asked them to pick them up when they learned that their vehicles were being impounded.
Students who are underage and do not have a driver's license but drive large-engine vehicles are committing acts that endanger traffic safety and pose a risk of causing traffic accidents for themselves and other road users.
