On August 9, the Road Traffic Police Team (Cam Ranh - Khanh Son area), Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police issued a fine for the driver driving a truck for the act of " avoiding vehicles going in the wrong direction without complying with regulations".
Previously, on the morning of August 4, at Km 18+300 of DT656 road (provincial road 9), Cam An commune, Khanh Hoa, a truck with license plate 77H-076.37 driven by Mr. T.Q.D (39 years old, residing in Suoi Hiep commune, Khanh Hoa) overtook the car in front, encroached on the opposite lane and continued to swerve across the front of a vehicle on the pass.
This dangerous situation almost led to a collision, fortunately the driver of the car in the opposite direction drove slowly and promptly handled the situation.
The entire process was recorded by the reverse vehicle's dashcam and sent to the Traffic Police Department.
Working with the authorities, Mr. D admitted to the violation.
The traffic police team has issued a fine of VND 5 million and deducted 2 points from the driver's license.
According to the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, when avoiding vehicles going in the wrong direction, drivers must reduce speed and go to the right side in their direction; vehicles going downhill must give way to vehicles going downhill; or vehicles near the avoiding location must proactively enter the avoidance position and give way.
