On the morning of May 16, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the People's Committee of Xuan Thanh Commune (Xuan Truong District, Nam Dinh Province) said that the local government is working with the Thai Binh 116 Rescue Team and local people to actively search for the drowning male student in the river area of Xuan Thanh Commune.
Initial information, at around 5:30 p.m. on May 15, people discovered D.Q.H (born in 2008, in Xuan Thuong commune, Xuan Truong district) drowning while swimming in the river with a group of friends in the Ha Mieu 1 culvert area (Xuan Thanh commune, Xuan Truong district).
The leader of Xuan Thanh Commune People's Committee added that immediately after receiving the information, the local authorities contacted Thai Binh 116 Rescue Team to coordinate in helping to search for the victim.
Talking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Captain of the Thai Binh 116 rescue team Nham Quang Van informed: "After receiving the information, our team members arranged to move to the above area to help and support the search. As of this morning (May 16), our team is still actively searching for drowning victims."
