Dak Lak fines 2 frozen food establishments

    Dak Lak fined two establishments selling frozen food of unknown origin, confiscating hundreds of kilograms of pork and seafood without documents.

    Inspectors of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dak Lak province have just fined two food businesses in Buon Ma Thuot city.

    Phuoc Hung frozen food business (Ea Tam ward) was discovered to have 86kg of pork in the freezer without labels or invoices.

    This facility was fined 8 million VND for trading in goods of unknown origin.

    As for the HQ food and goods business household (Tan Loi ward), it does not have a Certificate of food safety qualified facility.

    Authorities also discovered 71kg of oysters and octopus in the freezer with unknown origin.

    The total fine for the above two acts is 19 million VND. In addition to the fine, the two establishments also had all products of unknown origin confiscated and destroyed.
