On the afternoon of November 27, Cua Tung Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that at around 2:30 p.m. the same day, the unit received a report that the protective forest in Mach Nuoc village (Vinh Hoang commune, Quang Tri province) was on fire.
Immediately afterwards, 20 officers and soldiers of Cua Tung Border Guard Station were dispatched to the scene to coordinate in participating in extinguishing the fire.
At the fire area, the Border Guard, along with the police, military, local authorities and people, quickly deployed many measures to prevent the fire from spreading.

After more than 2 hours of control, by 4:30 p.m., the forces had completely extinguished the fire, ensuring safety for the forces participating.
The initial cause was determined to be that people burned the cover, causing the fire to spread to the cajuput forest, the forest area burned about more than 2,000m2.
Currently, the authorities continue to inspect and handle the remnant points to avoid the risk of a new outbreak.
