On March 16, Ho Chi Minh City Police said that the Traffic Police Department is verifying and handling the case of a dump truck bulldozing a small car on National Highway 13 section passing through Go Dau roundabout, Thu Dau Mot ward.
The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police has identified the driver of the dump truck as Mr. D. V. L (born in 1974, residing in Dong Nai province) and the driver of the car as Mr. H.V. Q (born in 1982, residing in Ho Chi Minh City).
The verification results showed that on the afternoon of March 12, a car was traveling on National Highway 13 in the direction from Thich Quang Duc street to Street 30. 4. When arriving at Go Dau roundabout, the driver turned left to enter the roundabout but due to lack of observation, a collision occurred with a dump truck traveling in the same direction from behind. After the collision, the dump truck continued to push the car for about 15 m before stopping.
The consequence of the collision was that the car was slightly damaged, and no one was injured. Immediately after that, the two sides moved their vehicles to the side of the road for civil negotiation and left the scene without reporting to functional agencies.

Through the working process, the parties confirmed that they did not know each other, had no prior conflicts and had agreed on civil compensation. The initial cause was determined to be that the driver of the car lacked observation when changing direction, leading to a traffic collision.
Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team is coordinating with functional forces to continue verifying and reconstructing the scene to handle violations according to the provisions of law.
The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police noted that when a traffic accident occurs, relevant parties need to maintain the scene, quickly notify the police force or the nearest functional agency for guidance and resolution in accordance with the law.
