The Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee has just announced its conclusion on personnel work. After considering the application of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Science and Technology, the proposal of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the report dated December 30 of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee on personnel work, at the meeting on January 2, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee discussed and agreed to let Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh resign from the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh ceased to be a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term and was entitled to early retirement benefits according to the Government's Decree on policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and armed forces in the implementation of organizational restructuring of the political system.
Assign the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the functional agencies, the Department of Science and Technology to carry out the procedures for Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh to resign from the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology, and to cease participating in the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term before January 15, 2025; hand over the task to a Deputy Director of the Department to operate and handle until the Project of merging the Department of Science and Technology with the Department of Information and Communications is implemented.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh ceased to participate in the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term and other positions in the Party from the effective date of the decision to remove Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh from the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
