On July 20, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation Tran Duc Thang, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi Capital, sent a letter of concern to the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to share the losses and damages to people and property caused by flash floods and landslides in Lai Chau province.
The letter stated that in recent days, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain in Muong Than commune and some areas in Lai Chau province, there have been flash floods and serious landslides, causing heavy damage to people, property, infrastructure, seriously affecting production and people's lives.
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi Capital, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City sent to the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Lai Chau province their sincere regards and deep sharing; especially sending condolences to families with deceased, missing, injured relatives and households suffering damage caused by natural disasters.
The letter also stated that, with the spirit of "Mutual affection and love" and "Hanoi for the whole country, together with the whole country", the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City sent to the Provincial Relief Fund (managed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province) the amount of 5 billion VND, contributing to helping the locality overcome the consequences of natural disasters, support people to overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives, and restore production.
The City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City believes that, with the attention of the Party and State; the joint efforts and sharing of localities across the country, along with the tradition of solidarity and the will to overcome difficulties of the Party Committee, government and people of Lai Chau province, the locality will soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters, stabilize life and continue to develop.
