On the evening of January 5, the Vietnamese men's football team officially won the 2024 ASEAN Cup championship after defeating the Thai team with a score of 3-2 in the second leg final at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).

To promptly encourage and motivate the players and coaching staff, Hanoi City has decided to donate 2 billion VND to the Vietnam men's football team.

This decision affirms the companionship of Hanoi City, spreading the spirit and love of football of the people of the capital in particular as well as the interest and contribution to cultural, social and sports activities of Vietnam in general.

Throughout the past time, on the journey to conquer the 2024 Southeast Asian Football Championship (ASEAN Cup 2024), the Vietnam National Football Team has shown relentless efforts and persistent fighting spirit through each match with an indomitable and resilient spirit, delighting fans.

As soon as the referee's final whistle sounded, Hanoi City was sure to have a sleepless night. Hundreds of thousands of people poured into the central streets to celebrate the victory of the Vietnamese team.

This is the third time the Vietnamese football team has won the Southeast Asian championship (formerly Tiger Cup, AFF Cup).

With this third championship, the Vietnamese team continues to affirm its high position in the region.
