On the morning of September 1st, the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Gianh ward (Quang Tri province) organized a ceremony to pay respects, commemorate and bury the remains of martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi at Quang Phuc Martyrs' Cemetery.
Previously, after the search and identification process, the family completed procedures to bring the remains of martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi from Duc Co Martyrs' Cemetery, Duc Co commune, Gia Lai province to his hometown for burial.
Attending the ceremony were Colonel Truong Viet Hai - Provincial Party Committee Member, Political Commissar of Quang Tri Provincial Military Command, Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains of Quang Tri province; Mr. Mai Xuan Toan - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Department of Home Affairs and representatives of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, Ministry of Public Security.

Leaders of Bac Gianh ward, representatives of departments, branches, unions, armed forces, relatives of martyrs and a large number of local people also attended the memorial service.
Martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi was born in 1949 in Quang Phuc commune, Quang Trach district, former Quang Binh province, now belonging to Bac Gianh ward, Quang Tri province.
In 1971, he enlisted in the army. On May 25, 1972, martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi sacrificed himself on the Southern battlefield.
For more than 54 years, the grave of martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi has been cared for at Duc Co Martyrs' Cemetery, Duc Co commune, Gia Lai province.


After functional agencies took biological samples, conducted DNA testing and comparing to identify the identity, the family completed the procedures to bring martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi's remains back to his hometown.
At the memorial service, delegates, relatives and people offered flowers, incense, and observed a minute of silence to commemorate martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi and his sacrifice in the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland.
After the memorial service, the remains of martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi were taken to be buried at Quang Phuc Martyrs' Cemetery.
Local leaders, agencies, units, relatives and people perform the burial ceremony and offer incense to bid farewell to the martyrs.
The funeral, memorial service and burial of martyr Nguyen Quoc Hoi's remains were solemnly and properly organized, expressing gratitude to those who sacrificed for the Fatherland.
