At the end of August 2025, the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) sent a document to the Domestic Market Management and Development Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to synthesize data from domestic motorbike manufacturers on the compatibleness of vehicles when switching to E10 biofuel.
The results of data synthesis from 5 member companies including Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio, SYM and Suzuki show that most of today's motorbikes can use E10 biofuel without technical changes.
Of which, 4 companies Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio and SYM confirmed that all models are compatible with E10 gasoline. Suzuki said that most compatible products, except for some old models such as Viva 110 (since 2000), Smash (since 2003), Smash Revo (since 2006), Shogun (since 2004), Amity (since 2006), AN125 (since 1995), NL125 (since 1996), Hayate (since 2007), EN150 (since 2012), GZ150 (since 2012), UA125 (since 2012) and GD110 (since 2016) need to be further authenticated.
VAMM representative said that expanding the use of E10 is the right direction to reduce emissions and protect the environment, but it is necessary to ensure that the quality of fuel must correspond to vehicle emission standards. The combination of E10 gasoline and oil must be consistent with the roadmap for emission standards for motorbikes to ensure the vehicle's performance.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, switching from mineral gasoline to biofuel is an inevitable trend, reducing emissions that pollute the environment. Ensure energy security by gradually reducing dependence on imported fuels, developing the domestic Pethanol manufacturing industry.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a draft circular stipulating that from January 1, 2026, E10 biofuel will completely replace mineral gasoline (RON 92, RON 95 and other minerals) on the market.
Also according to the roadmap, from January 1, 2031, all gasoline sold to motor vehicles is E15 gasoline, or biofuel with other mixing ratios regulated by the Minister of Industry and Trade based on the current status of development of motor vehicles, socio-economic development conditions, production conditions, import of biofuel, biofuel and ensuring energy security.
Biogensil is understood as a fuel mixed with alcohol and Pethanol. E10 gasoline is mixed with 10% alcohol and Pethanol, E15 gasoline is mixed with 15% alcohol and Pethanol. This fuel is applied to internal combustion engines, as a biofuel additive to regular gasoline.
