From August 1, 2025, Petrolimex and PVOIL will officially pilot the sale of E10 gasoline in Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, in Hai Phong, the two E10 gasoline points of sale are PV OIL Thanh To gas station (PC2 lot of Thanh To project, Hai An ward) and Tan Duong gas station (village 1, Thuy Nguyen ward).
On the morning of July 30, Lao Dong reporter noted that PV OIL Thanh To gas station and employees are preparing logos, billboards, and posters related to E10 gasoline to stick to the pumping stations as well as the locations at the store. According to the store representative, preparations for the pilot sale of E10 gasoline have been underway for 1 month. The store has also propagated to passenger transport companies and taxi service businesses in the area to know the policy of selling E10 gasoline - a biofuel line to protect the environment from August 1.
According to the store representative, before selling E10 gasoline, the E5 RON 92 gasoline line was also favored by many customers, mainly taxis and contract cars because this type of gasoline is "economically" better than the RON 95 gasoline line. Some family cars prioritize E5 RON 92 gasoline line because of environmental protection factors.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy (Hai An ward) said that in recent years, I have used E5 RON 92 gasoline for both my family's cars and motorbikes. "In the near future, I will definitely experience E10 gasoline because I heard that this gasoline helps the engine run smoother than E5, not to mention that the advertised environmental protection is very good, and the price is not much different from other gasoline lines" - Mr. Huy said.
Regularly taking passengers on the Tien Lang route to Cat Bi airport, Mr. Doan Cong Minh (Tien Minh commune) said that for many days, Mr. Minh has been learning about E10 gasoline and will experience it on August 1. According to Mr. Minh, a contract driver like him is most interested in the price of E10 gasoline, along with the fact that this type of gasoline is suitable for the engine of the vehicle in operation.
"Currently, the price of E10 gasoline is a bit lower than RON 95, plus its environmental protection significance, I think this gasoline will be used by many people, especially long-distance drivers" - Mr. Minh predicted.
