On October 28, the Propaganda Department of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to inform about the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2024 and preparations for Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
At the Conference, Head of Propaganda of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Loi informed about the preparation work for Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Accordingly, in recent times, Bac Ninh province has focused on leading and directing the preparation of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term to ensure seriousness, methodicalness, thoroughness and quality.
It is expected that the grassroots Party Congress will start in April 2025 and be completed before June 30, 2025. The district-level Party Congress and equivalent will be completed before August 31, 2025. The 21st Provincial Party Congress is expected to be held in September 2025.
Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee select 1-2 grassroots Party organizations to organize model Congresses; Gia Binh District Party Committee was selected to organize a model Congress of Bac Ninh province.
Regarding the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2024, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi emphasized that in the past 9 months, the province's socio-economic situation has had many positive changes, with total GRDP increasing by 5.52% over the same period in 2023; industrial production index increasing by 7.5%; trade and service activities increasing by 9.1%; budget revenue increasing by 20.5%; especially attracting foreign investment reaching over 4.5 billion USD, ranking first in the country.
Urban planning, development, basic construction, land management, environmental treatment, and site clearance have been focused on and have achieved encouraging initial results.
Bac Ninh is also the leading locality in the country in the fields of culture, education, health, and social security; national defense and security are ensured; foreign affairs are strengthened.
"After 27 years of re-establishment, Bac Ninh has made a breakthrough in development, from a purely agricultural province to an industrial center of the country with many indicators in the top.
To achieve that result, there are important contributions from generations of provincial leaders through the periods with determination and drastic direction in management," said Mr. Le Xuan Loi.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, in 2023, Bac Ninh province's GRDP decreased by 9.28% compared to the same period. This is the deepest GRDP decrease ever and Bac Ninh is also the province with the deepest decrease among 63 provinces and cities in 2023.
One of the reasons for the sharp decline in GRPD in 2023, according to the leader of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, is that after a 10-year cycle of rapid and sustainable development, the province's economy entered a lag period, this is a difficult period, economic growth tends to slow down.
In the first 6 months of 2024, Bac Ninh's economy escaped negative growth and gradually recovered with positive growth of 2.32%.
