Lang Son spends more than 109 billion VND to support health insurance

Lang Son - The Provincial People's Committee supplemented more than 109.8 billion VND for the Department of Home Affairs and Provincial Social Insurance to pay and support health insurance contributions for groups of subjects.

According to information from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the total additional funding is 109.8 billion VND. Of which, the Provincial Social Insurance Agency is assigned 102.6 billion VND; the Department of Home Affairs is assigned 7.223 billion VND.

The funding is allocated from the state budget estimate for 2026 assigned to the province.

More than 102.6 billion VND was used to buy health insurance cards for subjects, including 102.5 billion VND from the central budget and 139 million VND from the local budget.

The remaining 7.2 billion VND belongs to the funding source for implementing social security policies, also serving the purchase of health insurance cards for subjects from the central budget.

The Provincial People's Committee requests the Department of Home Affairs and Provincial Social Insurance to manage, use, and finalize funds in accordance with regulations; ensure timely and appropriate implementation, for the right purpose, for the right subjects, in accordance with regulations, standards and norms.

The Department of Finance is assigned to inspect the management and use of funds of supplemented units. Relevant units must be responsible for the accuracy of data, content of expenditure tasks and not to let losses, waste, or negativity occur.

The additional funding is to ensure resources for implementing health insurance policies in the second quarter, maintaining medical examination and treatment benefits for groups that are paid or supported by the state budget for health insurance in the province.
