In the latest announcement on June 24, Bao Ngoc affirmed that her admission to the Master of Environmental Science and Policy program at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University is completely accurate. According to the beauty, the entire application process, admission consideration and academic information are carried out according to the official procedures of the school.
Previously, Bao Ngoc's announcement of a letter of admission from one of the prestigious universities in the US received great public attention. However, the image of the admission letter shared later became the focus of debate when some details in the document were considered inconsistent with the original content.
Before the opposing opinions, Bao Ngoc said that in the initial enrollment letter for the summer enrollment in 2026, she received financial support worth 15,000 USD according to the program's review policy at that time.
However, because she had planned to participate in the Miss World 2026 international beauty contest before, Bao Ngoc proactively proposed to postpone the enrollment time to 2027 and was approved by the school. Changing the enrollment time means that the financial support conditions recorded for the enrollment period in 2026 will be reviewed by the school when she officially enrolls in 2027.
Notably, Bao Ngoc admitted to errors arising in the process of posting admission letter images. Accordingly, the fanpage management team used artificial intelligence (AI) tools to process images with the aim of protecting some personal information before making it public.
The beauty said that during the editing process, the AI tool automatically reproduced incorrect characters in the text, leading to some details displayed on the posted image not accurately reflecting the original content of the enrollment letter. Among them, there are details related to information about tuition fee support, which has caused much debate on social networks in recent days.
According to Bao Ngoc, this is a technical error that arose unexpectedly and the fanpage management team lacked careful inspection and comparison with the original documents before making it public.
The Miss born in 2001 also emphasized that no individual intentionally edited the content of the enrollment letter to change information, distort admission results or create images different from the documents sent by the university.
Regarding the failure to fully disclose information about financial support in the initial post, Bao Ngoc affirmed that this did not stem from the desire to create a perception that she received a full scholarship or was completely exempted from tuition fees.
According to the beauty's explanation, the 15,000 USD support is only applicable to the 2026 enrollment period and is no longer a definite condition after she moved the enrollment time to 2027. Therefore, she chose not to fully disclose this information to avoid causing misunderstanding about the unconfirmed benefits at the present time.
Bao Ngoc said that after discovering the mistake, she proactively reviewed all related information and removed the posted content to limit unnecessary misunderstandings.
In the announcement, the beauty apologized to the audience for the mistake that occurred, and took responsibility as the person who directly shared information with the public. She said she would see this as a lesson for herself and the team to work more carefully in the information announced in the future.
