On August 9, the leader of the People's Committee of Van Tuong commune, Quang Ngai province said that at about 8:15 a.m. on August 9, Mr. Nguyen Van Q (born in 1968 residing in Phu Long 2 village, Van Tuong commune - a freelancer) working in the construction area of the landslide barrier of the North - South Urban Axis project of Van Tuong province invested by the Quang Ngai Provincial Traffic Construction Project Management Board (constructed by DOTHICO Contractor) was hit by a landslide.
After the incident, local authorities and people organized rescue. At around 8:20 a.m., the victim was taken to Binh Son Medical Center (Van Tuong commune area) for emergency treatment. However, Mr. Nguyen Van Q died later.
Van Tuong Commune Police, Investigation Team Region 1 and the Procuracy coordinated to investigate and handle the case according to regulations.
