On November 29, the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang Ward (HCMC) organized a campaign to clean up the environment and collect waste, clean up on roads, alleys, and areas in the area in 2025.
Nearly 500 people participated in the campaign, including ward leaders, cadres, civil servants, workers, armed forces... divided into 4 groups to deploy waste collection on Vo Nguyen Giap; 2/9; Hang Dieu; 3/2 streets... In addition, many local people participated in responding, joining hands to clean up the living environment.
Mr. Phan Trong Hanh - Vice Chairman of Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee - said that the garbage collection process has been responded to by many people in the area. In the collection areas, most families have people to support them, to collect waste and clean up the environment.
Previously, the local government prepared necessary items for the launch; arranged trucks, as well as contacted environmental sanitation units to collect waste in accordance with regulations. After cleaning, the roads will be handed over to the neighborhood.
According to the Ward People's Committee, the work is to ensure environmental hygiene, not leaving waste in public areas, vacant land in the ward; especially areas along the above routes. The immediate goal is to solve waste hotspots, restore urban aesthetics and the environment for people.
Local authorities will strengthen management and maintain regular environmental sanitation; strictly handle acts of spreading waste into the environment. At the same time, continue to propagate to all people about urban beautification, building a civilized urban lifestyle towards the goal of building a green - clean - beautiful locality; a civilized - modern, friendly and impressive urban area.
