Common rainfall is 8-40 mm, in some places over 50 mm. During thunderstorms, it is necessary to watch out for tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind at level 5-7 (8-17 m/s). Heavy rain can cause localized flooding.
The cause of thunderstorms is due to the influence of an equatorial low pressure trough with axis of about 4-6 degrees North latitude, combined with disturbances in the easterly wind zone at high altitude.
Forecast, on the day and night of February 26, the Southern region will continue to have showers and scattered thunderstorms, rainfall of 10-30 mm. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
