According to updated data from the reservoir monitoring system at 3:00 PM on July 28, hydropower reservoirs in the Central and Central Highlands regions maintained safe operation.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has an upstream water level of 151.09m, water inflow to the lake 452m3/s, total discharge volume 480m3/s, all through the plant. Ban Ve Lake reached 174.49m, water inflow to the lake 204m3/s and has not been discharged.
Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 64.49m, only 0.51m away from the normal water level, water flow to the lake is 63.9m3/s, total discharge is 206.8m3/s through the plant. Quang Tri Lake reaches 457.65m, water flow to the lake is 2m3/s, total discharge is 18m3/s.
In the South Central Coast, A Vuong reservoir has a water level of 351.63m, discharging 28m3/s; Song Bung 4 reservoir discharges 43m3/s; Vinh Son A discharges 7.58m3/s. Song Ba Ha reservoir has a water inflow to the reservoir of 29m3/s, total discharge volume 120m3/s.
Song Bung 2, Vinh Son B, Vinh Son C and Song Tranh 2 reservoirs have not yet discharged water. Song Hinh reservoir has water inflow and discharge levels at 15.22m3/s.
In the Central Highlands, Ialy reservoir has a water level of 498.4m, water inflow to the reservoir 131m3/s, total discharge volume 31m3/s. Se San 3A reservoir discharges 494m3/s, while Thuong Kon Tum, Pleiku, Se San 3, Se San 4, Buon Tua Srah, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4 and Dai Ninh reservoirs have not yet discharged.
Srepok 3 reservoir discharged 150m3/s, Kanak reservoir discharged 40.4m3/s, Ham Thuan reservoir discharged 25.29m3/s and Da Mi reservoir discharged 56.43m3/s.
Notably, An Khe Lake is opening 1 surface discharge gate, with a total discharge volume of 5.45m3/s, of which 4m3/s is through the spillway and 1.45m3/s through the plant. Buon Kuop Lake opens 1 deep discharge gate, with a total discharge volume of 15.4m3/s, all through the spillway.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting on July 28, the Northern region, Central Highlands and Southern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain.
Heavy rain and localized heavy rain are likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes.
