On April 7, a clip recording a young man driving a motorbike blocking his head and using a helmet to break the windows of a traffic rescue vehicle spread on social media, causing public outrage.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on April 6 on Phan Van Khai Street (Tan Phu Trung Commune, Cu Chi District).
Mr. N.T.D (35 years old, living in Binh Tan District), the driver of the rescue vehicle that was attacked, said that he was driving from Tay Ninh to Ho Chi Minh City. When he was near the Phan Van Khai - Provincial Road 2 intersection, he stopped his motorbike to check the vehicle and turned on the turn signal to ask for directions.
However, after traveling about 200 meters, a young man riding a motorbike suddenly blocked the front of the rescue vehicle. After a while of arguing, this person used his helmet to hit the windshield of the rescue vehicle hard, causing damage.

"I stopped the car to the side to check the car, turned on the lights to ask for a way, but this person thought I was forcing them to drive, which led to the incident as in the clip," Mr. D. explained.
Regarding this incident, the Northwest Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) has received information. The authorities are currently extracting security cameras in the area to verify the vehicle and related people, in order to clarify the cause and handle the case according to the provisions of law.
