It has become a tradition that at exactly 8am on the first day of Tet, all cadres, civil servants, officers, soldiers of armed units and people on Bach Long Vi Island attend the first flag-raising ceremony of the year at Bach Long Vi Border Post. The flag-raising ceremony is held solemnly, in the atmosphere of the first day of the new year. Under the red flag with yellow star, cadres, soldiers and people on the island sing the National Anthem in unison, expressing their steadfast faith in the Party and the Fatherland.

The annual flag-raising ceremony is held to educate cadres, soldiers and people on the island about patriotism, national pride, and self-reliance, creating solidarity and excitement to work together to fulfill their duties well and firmly protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

On the occasion of the New Year of At Ty 2025, the leaders of Bach Long Vi district extended their New Year greetings to the cadres, soldiers and people on the island.
