On May 3, the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Nha Trang ward said that it had identified Mr. P.T. D (born 1971, permanently residing in Binh Dinh, currently living in Gia Lai) for 2 violations including: Street vendors in prohibited areas and driving vehicles on pedestrian roads.
This is the latest information after Lao Dong's reflection through the article "Verifying information that Thai tourists bought 1 ice cream for 100,000 VND in Nha Trang".
Previously, during a meeting with functional agencies, Mr. D presented that when moving from Biet Thu street to Tran Phu street (Nha Trang ward), he met a mother and daughter tourists from Thailand asking to buy ice cream.
He said that the customer asked to buy 2 trees, so he quoted a price of 100,000 VND. However, later, the tourist only bought 1 tree for 20,000 VND.
This content is contrary to previous reflections from tourists. According to information spread on Thai social networks, tourists said they bought 1 ice cream for 50,000 VND.
Specifically, when not asking the price in advance, at the time of payment, the seller requested to pay 100,000 VND for 1 ice cream; after arguing, the price was reduced to 50,000 VND.
Although they have paid, tourists still expressed frustration, saying that the price is unreasonable and the product quality is not commensurate.
Functional agencies of Nha Trang ward are continuing to consolidate the file to consider and handle the case according to their authority.
