On the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025, the weather in Hue was cold and rainy. However, many people still braved the rain to go to the pagoda to pray for peace and luck for their families.
At Tu Hieu Pagoda (Thuan Hoa District, Hue City), there were quite a few people coming to the pagoda to worship and enjoy spring on the first day of the new year.
Mr. Phan Thanh (Hue City) said: "Every year on the first day of the new year, I go to Tu Hieu Pagoda to worship Buddha and enjoy spring."
"I came here to worship Buddha and pray for my family's health, peace, and harmony in the new year of At Ty 2025," Thanh shared.
Previously, despite the cold weather and heavy rain, people still flocked to fireworks displays to welcome the new year - Year of the Snake 2025 in Hue.
The art program "Welcome Spring 2025" with unique art performances, the stage was designed with the bold imprint of Hue culture, blending modern style in the form of combining vibrant sound and light, proud melodies and sublime dances created many emotional moments to welcome the new year.
Viewers also enjoyed performances that harmoniously combined traditional and modern music, recreating the beauty of Hue culture.
The special art program to welcome Spring was elaborately staged with the participation of about 200 artists and actors.
Although the rain was quite heavy, it did not dampen the excitement of the locals and tourists. Many international tourists also braved the rain to watch the show.
