Diamond jewelry worth more than 1 billion VND that was mistakenly thrown into the trash in Da Nang on New Year's Eve was found by environmental workers and returned to the owner.

On January 30, the leader of the Transport Enterprise under the Da Nang Urban Environment Company said that they had just supported and found the lost property of Ms. C.T.M.H (residing in Cam Le district) on New Year's Eve of the Year of the Snake 2025.

According to this unit, the found assets include jewelry, including a diamond ring, estimated to be worth over 1 billion VND.

Ms. H said that while cleaning the house for Tet, her daughter, who had just returned from studying abroad, accidentally put things in the trash, including a bag containing a diamond ring.

Garbage in the Nguyen Huu Tho street area (Cam Le district) was collected and brought to the Le Thanh Nghi station (Hai Chau district). After discovering the incident, Ms. H. followed the garbage truck to the Khanh Son landfill (Lien Chieu district) to ask for help dumping the garbage to a separate area to search. The unit's workers supported the search until near New Year's Eve, found the jewelry, and returned it to Ms. H.
