Thousands of vehicles line up, moving slowly
On the last day of the April 30th and May 1st holidays, people from provinces and cities flocked to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for work and study, causing gateway roads to record increased vehicle density.

Recorded by reporters at more than 3 pm on May 3, at National Highway 1, the western gateway of the city, thousands of vehicles lined up moving slowly. Although the traffic volume was very large, traffic was still maintained, and prolonged congestion did not occur.
Many young people choose motorbikes as a means of transportation to save costs, carrying bulky luggage and hometown gifts. In hot weather, people have to use many measures to cope with the scorching heat such as wearing closed coats, sunglasses and carrying ready-to-drink water with them to reduce the hardship on long journeys.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (from Ben Tre) said that he and his wife and children departed by motorbike at 12 noon. After about 4 hours of travel, the family arrived in Ho Chi Minh City.
He shared: "Going long distances in the sun is very tiring. I proactively went early to go back to my rented room to rest and regain strength, because going late is afraid of getting stuck in traffic and it will be even worse. The road from the countryside is quite clear, only when I get to the city gateway do I start to see traffic and moving slowly.

Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (moving from Dong Thap) said that the traffic situation this year is more favorable than every year. Although the bus is crowded, she does not encounter serious traffic jams, the biggest difficulty mainly comes from the hot weather along the road.

In the Mien Tay Bus Station area (Kinh Duong Vuong street), the number of passenger cars from provinces pouring in is increasing. People after getting off the car line up orderly to wait for relatives to pick them up or wait for technology cars. The bus station security force is always on duty continuously to guide passengers and ensure security and order in the internal area.

Representatives of Mien Tay Bus Station said that the unit is focusing all its forces, closely coordinating with An Lac Ward Police and Phu Lam Traffic Police Team to regulate traffic, especially on Kinh Duong Vuong street, to ensure that vehicles entering and leaving the station are convenient and safe.
