After two days of holiday on April 30 and May 1, the volume of vehicles from provinces began to flock to Ho Chi Minh City, causing traffic on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway to become crowded, and vehicles had to line up to move slowly.

Recorded on May 2nd, the flow of cars formed a long line continuously on the expressway in the direction of the city center, especially in the late afternoon and evening hours. Although the density of vehicles was quite high, according to observations, traffic was still maintained stably, without serious congestion or jams. In contrast to the direction towards the city, the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai recorded a clear state, with easy traffic.

Many drivers said that the travel route today is relatively easy even though the volume of vehicles pouring in from the Central provinces, Vung Tau and Dong Nai is very large.
Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (resident of Phu Dinh ward) shared about the journey from Long Thanh to Ho Chi Minh City: "Although traffic is quite crowded, there is no congestion. The closer to the city, the denser the number of vehicles, the drivers actively move slowly and maintain a safe distance due to rainy weather.

Functional forces are still continuing to closely monitor the situation at gateway intersections to promptly regulate when the number of visitors returning to the city is forecast to increase further tomorrow.

According to functional forces, during the peak days of the Hung Kings Commemoration holiday and April 30 - May 1, the eastern gateway area, especially the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, may experience localized congestion.
People should monitor the traffic situation and choose a suitable route to move safely and conveniently.
