The inspection team of the Department of Health conducted an inspection of the business of medicine, medicinal herbs, medicinal herbs, traditional medicines, cosmetics, functional foods and medical equipment in Ha Tinh province.
Within 30 days, the team inspected 85 facilities. Including 10 companies and pharmaceutical branches; 52 pharmacies; 20 pharmacy stalls; 1 cosmetic and functional food stall; 2 establishments have not completed legal procedures according to the provisions of law.
Through inspection, the majority of drug retail and wholesale establishments have implemented relatively well the provisions of the law on drug business.
However, there are still cases of some facilities closing, avoiding, and temporarily suspending operations upon receiving information from inspection teams; the arrangement of drugs at some facilities is not in accordance with the FIFO principle.
The delegation has administratively sanctioned 8 establishments ( imposed fines on 7 pharmacies and 1 pharmacy); suspended the business of 2 departments due to not completing legal procedures according to the provisions of law.
From the inspection results, the Department of Health has assigned the specialized departments under the Department and its affiliated units to continue to strengthen coordination with localities and units to propagate and disseminate the implementation of legal regulations on the pharmaceutical field; strengthen the management, inspection and supervision of non-public pharmaceutical establishments according to regulations.
