On August 18, a working delegation of the Military Region led by Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong - Deputy Commander of the Military Region visited and encouraged forces performing tasks in the "Operation 500 Days and Nights" in Gia Lai province.

The delegation directly encouraged officers and soldiers on duty at Cat Hai Martyrs' Cemetery (Cat Tien commune) and Quy Nhon Martyrs' Cemetery (Quy Nhon Nam ward).
At the places they visited, the delegation respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense, and paid respects to the heroic martyrs. At the same time, they directly visited and encouraged officers, soldiers, and militiamen who were day and night performing the task of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains.

Speaking to encourage the task force, Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong emphasized: "Searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains is a special political task, deeply expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", the gratitude of today's generation to those who bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
In the "500-day and night campaign", each officer and soldier participating in the mission not only carried out the search and repatriation work, but also directly contributed to bringing the martyrs back to their comrades, families, and homeland.
Completing dossiers, identifying identities, and returning names to those who have sacrificed. This is an extremely sacred and noble task, requiring a spirit of responsibility, perseverance, dedication and very high political determination.

The Deputy Commander of the Military Region acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility, effort, and overcoming difficulties and hardships of the forces performing tasks. At the same time, he requested officers and soldiers to continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, closely coordinate with Party committees, authorities and local people, be urgent, cautious, and accurate in each task, ensuring the successful completion of the goals of the "Operation 500 Days and Nights".
Thereby, contributing to doing a good job of gratitude, consolidating the people's belief and spreading the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and the nation's affection.
On this occasion, the Military Region Command presented gifts to the forces participating in the task. The Provincial Military Command also presented gifts to encourage functional forces directly performing tasks, thereby promptly encouraging and adding motivation for the forces to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
