On the afternoon of November 2, the functional departments of Quang Ngai province gathered materials to build temporary bridges, overcoming the situation of isolating households that were being cut off due to the collapse of Cay Sung bridge, in Phuoc An village, Binh Minh commune, causing 316 households with 1,280 people to be isolated.
Immediately after receiving information from Binh Minh commune, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province directed the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and related units to urgently approach the scene, conduct a field survey, and deploy measures to overcome the incident.

In the immediate future, the local government assigned functional forces to set up checkpoints, not allowing people and vehicles to pass through the collapsed bridge area to facilitate construction activities, while ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
On the same afternoon, Mr. Do Tam Hien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province - was present at the scene to direct the repair work. Mr. Do Tam Hien said that the province has directed units to deploy solutions to transport food, medicine and essential necessities for people in isolated areas.
This is a unique route, so the province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Department of Construction to urgently install a temporary bridge to ensure travel, especially in case people are sick and need emergency care. "We are implementing, it is expected to be temporarily opened this evening so that people can travel by motorbike. Tomorrow, the units will try to complete temporary bridges, serve cars to transport necessities, and support people in the isolated areas, Mr. Hien added.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at about 5:15 a.m. this morning (November 2), Cay Sung bridge at Km9+600 on DH05 route, passing through Phuoc An village, Binh Minh commune, Quang Ngai province, suddenly collapsed. At the scene, a span of the bridge was broken, and one side of the bridge abutment was eroded. Cay Sung Bridge is 12 m long, 5 m wide, 4 m high. The incident caused people in Chau Binh, Chau Loc, Chau Long hamlets (Phuoc An village, Binh Minh commune) to be completely isolated, because this is the only road to the commune center.
