This stop, according to the plan, is located in Quang Long commune, Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province, with an area of 9.84 hectares.
Of which, 5.23 hectares of land have been cleared; the remaining 4.61 hectares have not been cleared.
According to the plan, on the expressway axis of about 176km long in Quang Ninh, including the expressways: Hai Phong - Ha Long, Ha Long - Van Don and Van Don - Mong Cai, there are 3 stops in Thong Nhat commune, Ha Long city, Dai Xuyen commune, Van Don district and Quang Long commune, Hai Ha district.
Thus, this will be the second stop on the more than 176km long expressway axis of Quang Ninh to be bid to select a construction investor.
Previously, a private investor in Hai Phong won a bid to build a stop at Km 20+062.80, on the Ha Long - Van Don expressway, in Thong Nhat commune, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.
The total area of this stop is 65,678.37m2, of which the construction area is 7,205.25m2, with a scale of 2 floors, with a total floor area of 10,000m2.
This is commercial service land, leased in the form of annual payment, for a term of 50 years, calculated from the date of the decision to recognize the auction results of the above land use rights. The winning bid price is more than 2.1 billion VND/year. The starting price is 1,109,241,991 VND/year. The starting price is stable for 10 years (according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 3 of Decree No. 135/2016/ND-CP dated September 9, 2016 of the Government).
It is expected that the station will stop in Thong Nhat commune, Ha Long city, with a total construction investment of about 146 billion VND, and will be put into operation from October 2025.
When Quang Ninh inaugurated and put into use the third expressway - Van Don - Mong Cai expressway on September 1, 2022, making the province the locality with the longest expressway axis in the country, the demand for stopping stations for people and tourists increased, because on this 176km expressway axis, there is no one stopping station.
To serve tourists and people, in April 2023, due to the inability to build any stopping stations on the 176km long expressway axis, a unit sponsored to build a temporary public toilet in Mui Chua area, Tien Yen district.
This public toilet is located a few hundred meters from the Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway Toll Station, built with a 4 star assembled steel frame structure, convenient for drivers when traveling in both directions.
