For the Hanoi - Lao Cai route, buses are still operating normally, however, the transfer of passengers is facing many difficulties.
At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha - Director of Ha Lan Trade and Tourism Joint Stock Company also said that due to the flooding situation, all of the company's buses from Thai Nguyen to Hanoi and vice versa and all bus routes operated by the company in Thai Nguyen have stopped operating.
A representative of the tourist bus company G8 Sapa Open Tour also announced a temporary suspension of transporting tourists to Sa Pa.
It is known that the Hanoi - Yen Bai route, the IC11 intersection of the Hanoi - Lao Cai expressway has also been closed. With the current flooding situation in Yen Bai province, it is likely that the IC12 Van Phu intersection (to Yen Bai city) will also be affected. Therefore, some bus companies have stopped transporting passengers on this route.
Some other routes, although not interrupted, are operating at a moderate pace. In particular, on the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh route, a representative of Son Hai bus company said that after storm No. 3 weakened, from September 8, the unit started operating again but at only 30% capacity, not to mention, many vehicles were damaged due to moving into storm and flooded areas .
At the same time, the representative of Hai Van bus company specializing in the Hanoi - Son La - Dien Bien route also served passengers from the afternoon of September 8, 2024 after 2 days of having to temporarily suspend operations due to the impact of storm No. 3. However, the routes were difficult to travel, many passengers canceled their tickets to ensure safety, so each day, the unit only maintained 1-2 trips from Hanoi to Son La, Dien Bien and vice versa.
