According to information from the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board, on January 14, during patrols and inspections in Ha Long Bay, in the area near Hon Trong Mai, the Center for Supervision, Safety and Rescue, under the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board, discovered a fishing boat with the act of clinging to and pairing sides between 2 tourist boats to sell seafood.
The violating vehicle was driven by Mr. P.V.T, residing in Bai Chay ward, Quang Ninh province. At the time of inspection, Mr. Tuan presented a citizen identification card in the name of P.V.T and a certificate of fishing vessel registration in the name of D.T.H as the ship owner.
The Center for Supervision, Safety and Rescue has requested the driver of the vehicle that paired sideways to stop the violation to ensure safety for tourists and vehicles in the area, and at the same time requested to bring the violating vehicle to Ben Doan Port for handover to functional forces to complete the dossier procedures for handling according to the provisions of law.
In the coming time, the Ha Long - Yen Tu Bay World Heritage Management Board will continue to coordinate with functional forces to strengthen patrols, inspections, detect and strictly handle cases of clinging to and forcing tourist boats transporting tourists during sightseeing trips to sell street vendors.
Previously, functional forces of the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board discovered many tourist boats with the act of letting other vehicles cling to and tie to their vehicles while on their journey to sell goods and services to tourists.
Some ships have temporarily suspended their contracts with the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Site Management Board, which means temporarily suspending operations in Ha Long Bay.
The street vendor situation in Ha Long Bay once had a rather painful period, with boats installing speed cameras, approaching tourist boats to invite tourists to buy goods.
The above actions risk disrupting security and order, and inland waterway traffic safety in Ha Long Bay; affecting the tourism business environment and tourism image of Ha Long Bay World Heritage Site.
