At noon on May 30, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police (PCCC&CNCH) of Da Nang City Police promptly stopped a young man who intended to commit suicide at a motel on 29-3 Street, Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District.
At around 8:40 a.m. the same day, people discovered a young man climbing out of the railing on the 4th floor of the motel, showing signs of instability and threatening to jump to the ground. Immediately, the information was reported to the authorities.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department quickly mobilized forces to the scene and deployed rescue plans. A working group approached from inside the motel to chat, stabilize the psychology, and provide drinking water and cigarettes to reassure this person. At the same time, another team deployed a buoy underground and dispatched a ladder truck to approach from the outside.
For nearly 2 hours of persuasion, the young man was still hesitant and showed signs of being out of control. Therefore, the rescue force deployed a formation of ropes from the roof floor, preparing a control plan when necessary.
At around 10:25 a.m., taking advantage of the moment the young man was unconscious, the working group inside took hold of his hand and coordinated with rescue staff to quickly bring him to a safe area.
Initial identity determined that the young man was T.L.B.P. (born in 2000, residing in Gia Lai province). This person came to rent a room at the motel at 0:00 on May 29. The incident attracted the attention of many people. After that, the authorities took the young man for a health check and coordinated to clarify the cause.
