The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just issued a new notice on adjusting traffic organization at Binh Trieu 1 Bridge and Binh Trieu 2 Bridge areas to serve the construction of the project to raise the clearance of Binh Trieu 1 Bridge.
From August 26, 2025 (3 days later than the previous announcement, from August 23 to November 30, 2025), traffic at these two bridges will be adjusted as follows:
Binh Trieu 1 Bridge
Prohibit all cars from traveling through Binh Trieu 1 Bridge. Vehicles can follow an alternative route.
Route 1: Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street → National Highway 13 (Binh Thanh Ward) → Binh Trieu 2 Bridge → Pham Van Dong Street, National Highway 13 (Hiep Binh Ward).
Route 2: Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street → National Highway 13 (Binh Thanh District) → Dinh Bo Linh Street → Nguyen Xi Street → Pham Van Dong Street, National Highway 13 (Hiep Binh Ward).
Binh Trieu 2 Bridge
Traffic organization will be adjusted to ensure service for both sides:
From Dinh Bo Linh Street to Pham Van Dong Street: cars travel on a 3.5m wide road (2 - 3 wheel vehicles are prohibited).
From Pham Van Dong Street to Dinh Bo Linh Street: Lane 1 3.5m wide, close to the right sidewalk): for 2-3 wheel vehicles and cars; Lane 2 3.5m wide, close to the left median strip): for all types of cars.
Binh Trieu 1 Bridge and Binh Trieu 2 Bridge are located at the northeastern gateway to the center of Ho Chi Minh City.
The project to raise the clearance of Binh Trieu 1 Bridge has a total investment of 133 billion VND, starting from the end of 2024.
According to the design, the bridge clearance will be increased by more than 1 m over the entire length of 770 m to meet the requirements of waterway traffic and ensure traffic safety.
The technology of lifting the span structure using a hydraulic lift system will be applied, helping to construct synchronously and safely, while the scale and load of the bridge remain the same.
