The project started construction in October 2024, with Nam Phong Investment, Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company as the contractor.
According to Lao Dong's report on November 15, at the project site, dozens of workers and machines are working hard to complete the road on schedule.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son (42 years old, Van Hoi, Tran Yen district) said that going from Yen Bai city to Van Hoi, this is the fastest and most convenient route.
"However, for many years now, this road has been degraded, and when it's sunny, the dust flies everywhere. I hope the construction unit will soon complete it so that people's travel will be less difficult," said Mr. Son.
Speaking with Lao Dong, a representative of the Yen Bai Province Road Maintenance Management Board said that the construction unit is urgently implementing the project to complete it in early 2025.
"Once completed, the route is expected to ensure traffic safety, improve operational efficiency and contribute to promoting local socio-economic development," the representative informed.

Speeding up construction of 80 km long arterial road
National Highway 70 is a road connecting the northwestern provinces of Phu Tho, Yen Bai and Lao Cai, with a total length of 198 km.
The road runs along the left bank of the Red River, from the intersection of Doan Hung town, Phu Tho province to Coc Leu, Lao Cai province. The section through Yen Bai province is about 80 km long, passing through 2 districts: Luc Yen and Yen Binh.
After storm No. 3, Highway 70 was one of the main roads that suffered severe landslides.
According to records, currently machinery and workers have been mobilized to level the soil and rocks, ensuring the movement of people.
A representative of Construction and Design Joint Stock Company No. 9 - one of the units currently working on repairing National Highway 70 said - currently the volume of landslides is large so the unit is speeding up the progress, working day and night.
"The problem of repair is also related to the landslide dumping site, so the unit is coordinating with local authorities to find a suitable and safe dumping site. For major damage that requires step 2, there has been a repair order and materials are being prepared," said the representative.
