Early afternoon of January 13, Mr. Pham Van Trinh - Chief of Office of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee said that the fire inside the provincial People's Committee headquarters did not cause any human casualties.
According to Mr. Pham Van Trinh, the area where the fire broke out was a small meeting room on the ground floor, about 20 square meters in area. The fire in the decorative electrical system caused a lot of smoke, and only burned in the small meeting room, not the entire headquarters.
The fire was completely extinguished, there was no damage to documents or people, only the electrical board, carpet and electronic equipment in the meeting room were burned.
At the time of the fire, the online meeting had ended and all the staff had gone to eat.
According to Mr. Pham Van Trinh, the initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.

Regarding the activities of the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee this afternoon, Mr. Pham Van Trinh said that all activities are still going on normally. Provincial leaders have directed to isolate the scene of the fire to investigate the cause and fix it immediately.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that at around 12 noon today, people discovered smoke billowing from the headquarters of the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee.
The fire was on the ground floor, and smoke was billowing out, engulfing the headquarters. At the time of the fire, a large crowd of people gathered in front of the headquarters.
Firefighting forces of Binh Phuoc Provincial Police quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.
