According to leaders of Thanh Hoa Department of Health, the medical incident occurred on July 13, at Vinh Loc District General Hospital. Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the department quickly verified and clarified.
“After the incident, Vinh Loc District Police launched an investigation. Along with that, the Central Institute of Forensic Medicine also conducted an autopsy to determine the cause. The medical records were immediately sealed" - Mr. Can informed.
Also according to the acting Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Health, the department has established a medical council to determine the cause of death of the mother and child. The professional council also worked directly with Vinh Loc District General Hospital and implemented procedures to approach members involved in the case.
“The most important thing is still the assessment results, which are decisive in leading to the death of the mother and child. If it is due to a reaction, accident, or anaphylactic shock, it will be shown in the assessment results and medical records . After the results are available, if violations are detected, individual and collective responsibilities will be handled according to regulations" - Mr. Can said.
Responding to a question from a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper about the above incident, Colonel Le Ngoc Anh - Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police - said that the case is currently under investigation under the authority of Vinh Loc District Police, if found.
